  • Here at Provident Insurance, we take fraud seriously. Did you know that insurance fraud is estimated to cost the insurance industry £2.1 billion every year? In 2013 over £1.3 billion worth of insurance fraud was identified by the industry, of which, £800 million was attributed to organised crime. This adds an average of £50 to every insurance premium.*
  • We don't tolerate fraud and have a team of more than 60 people in our Financial Crime Unit, dedicated to preventing and detecting fraud.
  • Our Financial Crime Unit carries out robust investigations of suspicious transactions and claims. In 2013 we identified in excess of £25m of fraud, savings that can be passed on to our genuine customers through lower premiums.
  • We subscribe to various industry initiatives such as the Insurance Fraud Bureau, Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department and Insurance Fraud Investigators Group to try and maintain low premiums.
