With our Breakdown Cover, provided in partnership with the RAC, you can ensure that a breakdown doesn’t have to mean the end of your journey – and with our four levels of cover to choose from, you can choose the right cover to suit your needs.
This cover is provided in partnership with the RAC, who:
- Fix 4 out of 5 cars at the roadside
- Have over 7 million members
- Are the UK's first established breakdown provider
- Carry over 500 parts and tools in their vans to get you going again
Our Breakdown Cover is a separate product that provides additional cover to your car insurance. You can buy this cover from £38.99 per year or an option to pay this in monthly instalments may be available.

- The RAC will fix your car at the roadside, as long as you’re over 1/4 mile away from home
- Includes a 10 mile tow to a destination of your choice, local garage or a place of safety if your car can't be fixed at the roadside

This includes all the benefits of Roadside and:
- Recovery of you, your car and up to 7 passengers (including the driver) to a single destination of your choice, anywhere in mainland UK

Roadside, Recovery & At Home
This includes all the benefits of Roadside & Recovery and:
- Any breakdown at your home address, or within 1/4 mile of your home address. You can even book a time for the RAC to come and attend your car at home

Roadside, Recovery, At Home & European Motoring Assistance
This includes all the benefits of Roadside, Recovery & At Home and:
- Cover for any breakdown in over 40 European countries
- If your car can't be repaired within 12 hours of the breakdown, we'll arrange and pay for a hire car or alternative transport so you and your passengers can continue your journey or return home
- If your car can't be repaired by your planned return date we'll arrange for the car to be returned to your home, or preferred garage in the UK (as long as the cost of doing this isn't more than the car's market value)
You can buy this cover for £99.99 per year, or an option to pay by monthly instalments may be available.
